At Jordans, we use the whole of the grain. This means the oats, wheat and barley you find in our breakfast cereals are made up of every single bit of the edible grain; including the bran, germ and, wait for it…endosperm. May not sound the most glamorous, but trust us these little jewels are filled with an array of vitamins, minerals and fibre.
The great thing about whole grains is that they contain far more nutrients than their lesser cousins, the refined grains. Looking for a little fact to impress your friends with? Well, whole grains have around four times the amount of fibre as refined ones, which helps maintain a healthy digestive system*. So, while every Jordans product is at least a source of fibre, some of our products (like our scrumptious Super Granolas) are actually high in fibre too. Fibre-tastic!
*Oat grain fibre, barley grain fibre and wheat bran fibre contribute to an increase in faecal bulk when consumed as part of a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. High fibre foods are those that contain 7g of fibre per 100g.
